What are people saying about Mendacities?

“I loved it! It’s a charmingly disturbing trope-rich coming-of-age story which manages to offer up some surprisingly serious questions about the unchecked power of the modern media machine alongside some wickedly funny dialogue and a truly twisted ending. You’re kind of sick, but in a good way. You know that, right? Cool, gimme my five bucks now.”

Oh, hey:

“Great book! Thank you for making it available. I’m definitely hoping for some more.”

Arno Breedt

“[W]ritten with a strong and intellegent voice… I have a somewhat hard time seeing this as a ‘young adult’ novel. I know that since they are still in High School it should be classified as such, but I believe… that this book could resonate with a much broader audience.”

–(anonymous, sadly) 2010 ABNA ‘Expert Reviewer’

“The protagonist has a realistic, wry and authentic voice; he sounds like a teen and not say, a literary novelist’s idea of a teen.”

–(anonymous, sadly) 2010 ABNA ‘Expert Reviewer’

“[C]ool in so many different ways, you can’t classify it…couched in prose that is both beautiful and endlessly surprising.”

Brent Nichols

More actual, meaningful reviews are (hopefully) forthcoming. Hopefully. Hint, hint…

Finished the novel. Great book! Thank you for making it available. I’m definitely hoping for some more. BTW, whatever did the mother think of the anti-tank rifle? ;-)
